Content of the Training
Our training and certification meet the quality and content requirements set by the CSSC. We also comply with the contents of the international standards ASQ and IASSC BoK ("Body of Knowledge"), with the exception of a few rare tools. We do not unnecessarily burden participants with methods that are not needed in practice. Thanks to our selectivity, we can deliver the training efficiently in 5 days (4 days for participants who have already attended our Green Belt training).
In the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt to Black Belt Training, we go deeper into statistical analysis and change management than in the Green Belt Training. We cover topics such as:
- Project management brief: the 12-step DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control)
- Define: Defining the voice of the customer in challenging projects, e.g. the "Quality Function Deployment" tool
- Measure: Analysis of the measurement system using statistical methods (GR&R, Kappa) and calculation of adequate sample size for different situations
- Analyse: Comprehensive analysis of process performance (Control charts) for different types of data.
- Improve: A variety of applied statistical analysis methods, e.g..
- More comprehensive hypothesis tests than in the GB Training
- Different types of regression analysis
- New tools for situations where there is a lot of data and/or it is partly incomplete
- Design of Experiments (Factorial, Conjoint, and Response Surface Design of Experiments)
- Lean methods beyond the GB Training, e.g. SMED, Jidoka, Andon and Heijunka
- Different methods for prioritizing solutions
- Control: Continuous improvement throughout the value chain
The training is very interactive and includes many concrete models, examples and simulations, as well as "Lessons Learned" examples from other organisations.
To get the most out of the training, we recommend that participants have their own improvement project during the course. Read our blog for advice on choosing a project.
After the training, you will have the opportunity to have your project approved. Those who pass the requirements will receive a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate.
