DI Marja Jaatinen-van der Harst is the CEO of Jaatinen B.V. in the Netherlands and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certified at General Electric by Jack Welch, who developed the Six Sigma methodology. Marja has over 25 years of international experience in Lean Six Sigma as a Master Black Belt and 10 years with General Electric. At GE, she was involved in the launch of Lean Six Sigma in Europe in the mid-90s. Marja is also Senior Memebr of American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Marja has successfully applied her experience gained at GE in hundreds of Lean Six Sigma projects in industries, service sectors, and government administration in various countries. She has extensive experience with organizations of various sizes, from international corporations to SMEs, and from individual Lean projects to global deployments of Lean Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma.

Marja has trained and coached thousands of employees from senior management to frontline staff. As a trainer, Marja is demanding yet motivating, fun, and inspiring, engaging participants even with challenging material. She incorporates her own experiences from various areas as practical examples in training sessions and encourages participants to apply what they've learned to their own environments during the training itself.

Marja is used to working in different cultures at all organizational levels. He has worked/lived in Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands and Japan. Marja's working languages are Finnish, English and Dutch.

Results

Guiding organisations through the Lean and Lean Six Sigma change process and training employees to enable them to apply the methodology themselves as quickly as possible to achieve results. Marja's experience spans several hundred companies. Examples of results achieved:

• An organisation (approx. 30 000 employees) "self supporting" Lean Six Sigma in two years.
• Improving the efficiency of the new product development process by 50%.
• Reducing lead times for all services by 90%.
• Improving employee satisfaction by 30% while reducing lead times by 90% alongside a significant increase in production.
